In the area you can hike, bike or sail to and through little villages that look as if time has not changed. Two bicycles are available at no charge for your entire stay. It is also possible to sail from your terrace in our little motorboat (two persons) and explore the area. Larger boats can be rented in de Rijp and Driehuizen. For some guests it is good to know that Alkmaar is only 15 car minutes away and shopping paradise Amsterdam only 25 minutes. There are bus- and train connections to Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Haarlem and Hoorn. The Almaarder lake with sailing and boating facilities are also nearby.
